2014-15 News

Pay Raise

 

Again at the end of the 2014-15 school year, membership overwhelmingly approved another salary increase of 4.5% and another $1000 increase to the District's contribution to health and welfare benefits.  The new salary schedule was approved by the Governing Board on June 8, 2015.

 

 

LCAP

 

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula, school districts, county offices of education and charter schools in California are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), beginning on July 1, 2014, using a template adopted by the California State Board of Education (SBE).

 

The LCAP is required to identify annual goals, specific actions, and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators, including student academic achievement, school climate, student access to a broad curriculum, and parent engagement. School districts and charter schools are required to obtain parent and public input in developing, revising and updating LCAPs

New Website

 

The Hesperia Teachers Association has launched a new website.  HTA Leadership wants members to feel connected and informed.  We hope that this website will be an important tool in this goal.  HTA welcomes all feedback.  If there is something that you think would improve the site, or if you have something that you would like to see added, please go to "Contact" page and send us your feedback! 

Survey Results

This fall, HTA sent a survey to all members who have provided reps with a non-HUSD email.  (If you did not receive the link and would like to be included in future surveys as well as HTA informational updates, please contact your site rep or email hta.secr@gmail.com

Leadership has read all of the comments and is working to ensure that members voices are heard and addressed.
